2006 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Aussie Conversion

The 2.7-liter Inline 5 cylinder Turbo Diesel engine in this van was built before many of the diesel emission regulations necessary today. This means there is no need for DEF or the additional equipment weighing down/slowing down the vehicle.
Performance and fuel mileage are actually better than my current vans even though it’s older. It has the lowest operating cost of any grooming van I’ve ever used in my 15 year career. I’m only selling due to difficulty finding a reliable employee.
122,900 miles, however I do drive it a few miles a week to keep everything in working order while looking for a buyer, so actual mileage maybe slightly higher. Equipped with power door locks, power windows, power mirrors, cruise control, and CD player.
This is an Aussie Pet Mobile Conversion, these vans are closely based on the popular Hanvey grooming van conversion where instead of relying on a noisy, inconvenient generator which requires costly upkeep, maintenance AND are prone to breakdown or other regularly occurring problems, they use multiple powerful batteries.
These vans use a large battery bank, a powerful inverter/charger system, and I’ve added an oversized 280 amp alternator. All these components work together to produce more than enough power to comfortably groom all day while running the 15,000 BTU air conditioner, or anything else you need for that matter.

Most of the equipment in this van has been replaced within the past 12-18 months. This equipment includes:
A new turbo charger replaced May 2024, cab air conditioner serviced at same time.
A new15,000 BTU Coleman Mach 15 Quiet Power saver roof-mounted Air conditioner with heat pump add on (installed summer 2023) keeps the grooming salon cool and comfortable.
All new Battery Bank containing 4 US L16HC XC2 Batteries (installed summer 2023)
A high output 280 Amp Alternator capable of recharging battery bank much quicker than the standard van alternator (added March 2023)
All tires and brakes replaced in mid 2023
Mostly new plumbing includes: clean water rinse pump, grey water waste pump, 55 gallon capacity grey water tank, and some of the vinyl tubing all replaced in March 2023.
All new wiring, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and breaker box JUST replaced in July 2024.

Xantrex Freedom SW 3012 inverter/charger system converts 3000 watts of battery power into 12v direct current producing 3000 watts of instant power capable of running a grooming business operating up to 14 hours a day.

Original components of the van include:
A large bathing station with a huge tub (interior measurements of tub 39.5” Wide, 21.5” Deep, 26.5” Tall) which can hold even the largest dogs. In the 15+ years I have spent using these kinds of van conversions, I have never seen a dog not fit in the tub.
A 6.4 gallon marine water heater which provides enough warm water to thoroughly rinse even the biggest, hairiest dogs.
A very handy and convenient ClipperVac Skinny Mini system which can be used as a clipper attachment to collect hair as its being cut or as a central vacuum system for the grooming salon area.
A large Pump-Hydraulic grooming table capable of supporting hundreds of pounds, I’m not sure of exact capacity however, I have sat on the table and groomed a Saint Bernard weighing about 200lbs several times with no issues.
A 65 Gallon clean water tank eliminates the need to use customer utilities, also frees you up to groom at apartment buildings, high-rises, offices, or any location without hookups.
Ceiling, walls, and doors have all been insulated to help with summer heat as well as winter chill.

Other Items and useful stuff:
Non-slip 1/2” padded rubber floor, makes a day on your feet much more comfortable.
Table side storage cabinet with flat table top for holding supplies and equipment.
Second storage toolbox with multiple drawers and ample storage for grooming equipment, supplies, towels, etc.
Newer LED lighting around interior of grooming salon.
Extra hoses and attachments for dryer.
Extra ClipperVac parts and attachments.
MDC Romani tornado Forced Air Dryer.
